The Borgen Project, Political Affairs Intern

May, 2025 – August, 2025

Job Description
Over the 12 weeks as a Political Affairs Intern with The Borgen Project, I had the chance to advocate for legislation aimed at reducing global poverty, engage directly with Members of Congress, and mobilize grassroots support within my community. I conducted policy research, collaborated with local media, and worked to raise awareness of how U.S. foreign policy impacts lives worldwide. I also had the privilege of leading innovative fundraising campaigns that raised funds for humanitarian efforts around the world. This experience sharpened my skills in advocacy, political communication, and coalition building, while deepening my understanding of how policy change can have a direct and measurable impact on lives worldwide.
Personal Accomplishments
I am honored to have received the President’s Circle Award and the Bird-Dog Award in recognition of my lobbying efforts.
